Day 10: Seeing the ancient city of Ephesus
We woke up to the sound of the sea, the morning was sunny like the 4 previous days. A guard came up to us and asked us to lay down the tents, because. In place of the tents was going to put up beach chairs. The tents were assembled in 10 minutes. We prepared porridge from bulgur and a salad with tomatoes, onions and cucumbers. Tomatoes and cucumbers in Turkey are tastier than ours in Ukraine. They drank some tea, some coffee and piled trunks. Today we need to visit the ancient city of Ephesus, built by the Greeks. By the way, the most famous beer in Turkey is also called Ephesus.
We collect tents, before leaving Olya trains stretching
The road to the city was very short: we arrived in 1.5 hours.

There is a small private airfield near Ephesus :)
At the box office, we were delighted with the ticket price of 25 lire (125 UAH) and, after thinking, we decided to climb over the fence :) as time has shown, this was not a good idea :)
We walked along the fence until we disappeared from the sight of the guards, then we began to carefully examine the fence overgrown with bushes for holes :) the hole was found and crouching, we squeezed through it. Almost immediately, a bush with thorns began, and with oiks, we gradually moved through it to the nearest ruins of the city. It was then that we were not lucky: it was this part of the ruins that was being restored at the moment and the workers saw us. We pretended not to understand English, but they called security. I thought that everything was already there. But we were just taken toentrance and asked to buy tickets if we want to see Ephesus.

Ephesus is a fabulous city of antiquity. So much stone carving in the streets, majestic columns, a two-story library building, even an ancient public toilet.

The streets are full of cats and kittens :) they love tidying up and water, no wonder in this heat. By the way, three of us in the group managed to burn out in the sun :)
Olya decided to test her climbing skills and climb the wall of the house. I climbed in without problems, and when I climbed down, I accidentally brought down a stone the size of a cinder block :) no one saw it and we quickly dumped it :)

Main street in Ephesus
After Ephesus, we went to the city of Selcuk and stocked up on food for dinner and water. There in the market I saw huge bulbs, like 3 fists in size. Food in Turkey is not expensive, like in Ukraine.
It was already getting dark and we went towards Izmir to look for an overnight stay. Approximately 5 km away, a wonderful clearing was found, where they set up camp. I quickly set up the tent, took off the bag from the bike and rode light back to the village to write a report - I ran out of money for GPRS Internet. By the way, I may not be able to post a report tomorrow for the same reason. In total, we drove 29 km and gained 150 m of altitude. Tomorrow 80 km to Izmir, I hope we will reach the evening :)
